A demonstration against “the Ukrainianization of Poland” was held in Warsaw.

In Warsaw, in Paradov Square near the Palace of Culture and Science, more than 100 people held a demonstration against “the Ukrainianization of Poland”, reports “RIA Novosti”. The organizer was the nationalist party “Confederation of the Polish Crown”. The demonstration took place despite the appeal of the left parties to the mayor of Warsaw Rafał Trzaskowski with the request to ban it.

Those gathered in Paradov Square held posters: “Remember Volhynia, we will not give up the truth”, “Ukrainians are only a tool in the hands of politicians”, “Stop stealing under the pretext of helping Ukraine”.

Alongside the nationalists, several people held an action against xenophobia. They came to the square with a Ukrainian flag and a poster “Fascism and xenophobia away”.

According to various estimates, around 3 million Ukrainian citizens currently live in Poland. Up to 1.5 million of them arrived in the country after the start of the military operation as refugees.
