RTS connoisseurs, pay attention to the upcoming Songs of Silence – a fantasy strategy with RPG and kingdom management elements. The demo version can now be played on Steam. The game stands out for its emphasis on story, promising an exciting adventure with high stakes and intense battles.
Songs of Silence is set in two fantasy worlds that are in danger of being consumed by a void called Silence. Players will have to choose from three factions and explore classic features of the 4X genre. The battles will take place in the form of card battles with the ability to build a deck that influences the outcome using direct damage and status effects.
Launched on Steam Songs of Silence demo gives an idea of how the gameplay unfolds in the early stages – demonstrating step-by-step kingdom management and deck building. According to the reviews of the majority of those who tried the demo, Songs of Silence has potential.
However, some also note disadvantages. “The characters do not know how to navigate the map at all. After the battle, you have to wait until all the units one by one disappear from the global map, and until that moment nothing can be done.”
Developers from Chimera Entertainment are already responding to criticism by publishing plans for improvements. In particular, there will be adjustments to combat speed and other improvements to the final version before the release of Songs of Silence on PC in the spring of 2024.
