A deal worth 78.41 billion dollars was signed at the Chinese import exhibition

Trade and service agreements worth 78.41 billion US dollars were reached at the 6th China International Import Expo held in Shanghai. SIA reports with reference to the organizing committee of the exhibition that this number is 6.7 percent higher than last year’s indicator. During the exhibition held on November 5-10, 442 products, technologies and services were presented to the public for the first time. 3,400 participants from 154 countries and international organizations, including 289 companies from the “Global Fortune 500” list, attended the Shanghai exhibition, and more than 400,000 professional visitors, including representatives of importing companies, visited the exhibition. The exhibition, held under the auspices of President Xi Jinping of the People’s Republic of China, aims to promote and support the entry of imported products and services into the Chinese market. The Shanghai exhibition is the first major import exhibition held at the country level in the world.

It should be noted that with the support of the Ministry of Economy of Azerbaijan and the Trade Representation in China, which are permanent participants of the China International Import Exhibition, and the organization of the Export and Investment Promotion Agency (AZPROMO), a single country and commercial stands operated at the exhibition. At the first stand, the achievements and perspectives of our country in the fields of tourism, innovation, “green” energy, industry, agriculture, culture, and carpet weaving, as well as the favorable business and investment environment created in our country, as well as materials about potential investment projects, were displayed.

At the “Made in Azerbaijan” stand, wines, other alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, confectionery, nuts, pomegranate juice, preserves and other products produced by Azerbaijani companies were displayed.
