One person lost their life as a result of a fatal accident that occurred on the El Juncal – Neiva bypass.
The event was recorded yesterday afternoon, when the driver of the SPL 271 license plate truck was moving along kilometer 1 + 180 meters, near the bridge that crosses the Magdalena River. Apparently, there the operator of the heavy vehicle, for unknown reasons, lost control and ended up leaving the road.
In fact, the vehicle ended up overturned in the green zone. As a result of the accident, a person who was backpacking was trapped between the cabin and the tank of the tanker truck. Unfortunately when the paramedics arrived, he no longer had any vital signs.
For his part, the identified driver Cristian Gerardo Ojeda was helped and taken in an ambulance to a care center where he is recovering from his injuries. At the site of the accident, the Transit and Transportation authorities arrived to carry out the corresponding investigations.
It should be noted that at the close of this edition the Highway Police had not established the identity of the fatality.
