American authorities are looking for a 19-year-old student who has been missing for a week. On Monday, a person involved in the case was found dead in what appears to be suicide.
Miya Marcano’s family hope to find the 19-year-old alive. The latter disappeared last Friday in Florida. This student from Valencia College, Orlando, was last seen late in the afternoon. That day she was working in an apartment complex and went downstairs around 5 p.m. About 30 minutes earlier, a maintenance worker had used a key to access his apartment, Orange County Sheriff John Mina said. That maintenance worker, Armando Caballero, 27, had been working at the same compound as her since June and was under investigation by the sheriff’s office, John Mina said. He was wanted in this case, reports “USA Today”. He was found dead on Monday, in what appears to be suicide.
“He had shown a romantic interest in Miya. But he was rejected several times, ”said the sheriff. Caili Sue, one of Miya Marcano’s cousins quoted by ABC News, said the man was texting her over and over again to the point “of making her uncomfortable.” According to her, there could have been a “fight” in her cousin’s apartment on the day of her disappearance. “Looks like there was a fight over the dirt and jewelry on the floor. The family are very meticulous when it comes to cleaning and keeping their house clean, so the bed unmade and things scattered around were strange ”.

“Miya remains missing. His disappearance is suspicious and our investigators, and his family, obviously suspect a criminal act, ”commented John Mina. “I am that you are alive. I know you are somewhere. You know we won’t sleep until you get home. We miss you. We know you’re strong, ”his aunt said to the media. Caili Sue explained that she was very angry since learning of Armando Caballero’s death. “Because if he knew anything, he took that information with him when he could have put us on a lead.”
