On September 13, 1810, Mariano Moreno created the first public library in Buenos Aires. In 1954, the date was declared the national day of the Librarian. The first branch of the Public Library, the predecessor of the current Mariano Moreno National Library, had as its first librarians Dr. Saturnino Segurola and Fray Cayetano Rodríguez. We especially salute the workers of the Servicoop Library on their day.
