The minister and the members of the committee expressed their sorrow over her passing and the fact that she did not receive the recognition she received after her death.

In its reasoning, the award committee stated that Ms. Edna Soloder is a symbol of female leadership and reflects the face of Israeli society in her extraordinary life path. The committee also noted that she was one of the leaders of the kibbutz movement and as part of her many years of parliamentary activity, she worked a lot for the strengthening of the periphery, the preservation of nature and heritage, the encouragement of agriculture and settlement and was a model for unity and connection in the people.
