A Czech van driver died in an accident in Slovenia

The accident occurred around three o’clock in the afternoon on the Styrian motorway outside the town of Celje in the direction of Maribor.

According to the Celtic police, the tragic accident was most likely caused by inattention. The Czech driver apparently overlooked the fact that the 50-year-old driver of a truck with a trailer was slowing down due to a traffic jam on the highway in front of him. The fast-moving van then crashed into the trailer.

Due to the accident, traffic on the highway had to be stopped for two and a half hours. Although the consequences of the accident have already been removed, there is still a traffic jam in the section of the motorway from Celje to Maribor, STA wrote, referring to the communication of the traffic information center.
