A cyclist struck by a vehicle in Montreal

A cyclist was struck by a car early Saturday morning at the corner of boulevard Henri-Bourassa and avenue de Bois-de-Boulogne, in the borough of Ahuntsic-Cartierville, in Montreal.

A 53-year-old man was taken to hospital shortly after 5 a.m. It is not yet known in what state it is.

According to initial information, there was a collision with a vehicle, possibly a tool vehicle.

The involved vehicle left the scene. The police therefore consider it a hit and run.

The area was closed to allow investigators to do their job.

Three cyclists have already lost their lives in Greater Montreal this week.

The collision took place at the corner of Boulevard Henri-Bourassa and Avenue de Bois-de-Boulogne.
