The Emergency Coordination Center 1-1-2 Region of Murcia has received several calls starting at 6:58 p.m., reporting the traffic accident on Avenida Academia General del Aire in Santiago de La Ribera, in the municipality of San Javier.
They reported that a cyclist was lying on the ground, the circumstances of the accident unknown.
At the scene of the event, local police from San Javier and an ambulance from the Urgency and Health Emergencies Management 061 (a Mobile Emergency Unit) have appeared.
UME health workers have treated the wounded man on site and he has subsequently been transferred to the Los Arcos Mar Menor University General Hospital.
The affected person presented trauma to the head, face and neck.
