A cyclist died in the East, possibly feeling ill before he met a car

An accident between a motorist and a cyclist happened on Maxwellstraat in Oost at around 7am this morning. A police spokesperson told AT5 that the cyclist may have fallen ill while riding, was hit by a motorcycle and died. “We are currently investigating whether the man died as a result of the accident or as a result of the disagreement,” said a police spokesperson.

Several emergency services, including an ambulance, were called. The man was revived on the spot, but it was not necessary. “We are still doing the investigation at the site,” said the spokesman. The age of the victim is not known.

Part of the road is cordoned off with police tape and cones. A research vessel and a tent were also sent.
