A 38-year-old Bulgarian living in Chicago died after two trucks collided.
The accident happened on Saturday afternoon on the I-74 highway at the western end of Champaign County, Illinois, bg-voice reported.
Illinois state police informs that the accident happened when a truck that pulled off the side of the road tried to get back into traffic.
During his maneuver, however, he collided with another truck in the right lane, driven by the Bulgarian Ivaylo Dimitrov. It appears that it was unable to move to the adjacent lane due to heavy traffic.
Ivaylo Dimitrov died on the spot. The other driver, 64-year-old Donald Johnson, was not injured in the accident. The police have drawn up an act for non-observance of an advantage when entering the traffic.
