It’s the moment a New York firefighter on leave walking his dog in a Queens park is attacked by a mob of vicious teens – one of whom sparked the beating by saying it was about ‘Fight Night’, disturbing new video shows.
The 44-year-old victim said he was walking with his 3-year-old Labradoodle Dylan in Juniper Valley Park in Middle Village at around 9:55 p.m. Friday when he was suddenly targeted by crowds.
“There were at least 100 children… I was walking my dog. They just picked me up and walked over to me, ”the still shaken victim, who asked to remain anonymous, told The Post on Saturday afternoon.

“A child took off his shirt and said, ‘It’s Fight Night!’ He said he was 19 and said, “I could beat you.” Everyone took out their cellphones. There were cellphones everywhere, ”he explained. “They all came towards me… A child came up behind me and hit me on the back of the head with a bottle and I let go of the dog,” he said.
In video footage obtained by The Post, the mob can be seen closing in on their victim, who rears his dukes as Dylan barks in vain in protest, attempting to protect his human best friend.

“Yo, what the fk!” shouts a stunned bystander as the unidentified victim is clubbed on the sidewalk.

“Old man with dog fucked up,” a teenage boy is seen texting in the video.
The victim continued, “They didn’t care at all. The children were going crazy. They were as high as a kite. , holding a child and an ambulance stopped. They were waiting near the park… If they hadn’t been there, I would have been in a much worse shape. “
The father of three added: “I’m a little stuck. What are you going to do? Thank goodness I’m still here. It could have been worse. ”
Police confirmed to the Post on Saturday that the victim was hit on the head with a glass bottle at 75th Street and Juniper Boulevard North. No arrests were made. The dog, which was picked up by a Good Samaritan, was not injured.

The victim, who refused a trip to the hospital, said “there have been a lot of incidents” recently in the park, which has become a haven for out-of-control teenagers from across the borough.
“Children are having bikes stolen, an older man has been beaten,” he said, adding that he found three knives on Saturday in the park he planned to hand over to the police.
The victim said a group of children were irritated when he berated them for jumping over the fence of a day care center in front of the park. Another resident, who was not injured, complained of illegal fireworks.
“It’s a small community… kids with bikes… I might be old school, but there is no respect,” Smoke added.

GOP mayoral candidate Curtis Sliwa, founder of the Guardian Angels, said he was alerted to the incident by residents who he said are calling on his group to step up patrols amid “the loud boom box music and fireworks are running until the early hours ”.

Guardian angels will begin patrolling the park from 6 p.m. on Saturday, Sliwa said after meeting with residents earlier in the afternoon.
