A crook with a long history will go back to prison

WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. (AP) — A serial con man who gained national fame as a teenager posing as a doctor is back in prison after pleading guilty to stealing more than $10,000 from the company where he worked.

Malachi Love-Robinson, 25, received a sentence of more than two years and four months last week after pleading guilty in Palm Beach County, Fla., to grand larceny and conspiracy to commit fraud.

Court documents show that in 2020, Robinson was a salesman at a firm that connects carriers with trucking companies. Instead of customers making payments to the company, Love-Robinson asked them to send money to accounts he controlled.

Love-Robinson first came to national attention in 2016 at age 18, when he was arrested after opening New Birth New Life Medical Center, identifying himself as “Dr. He sees it.”

He stole $30,000 from an 80-year-old patient during home visits and another $20,000 from a doctor. He was arrested after examining and prescribing treatment for an undercover police officer posing as a patient.

Later that year, while on bail, Love-Robinson was arrested in Virginia after attempting to purchase a Jaguar car with a stolen credit card.

He pleaded guilty to both counts and was released from prison in 2019.
