“Motherland is calling” against Alena Agafonova, a 23-year-old resident of Samara city. A criminal case has been opened for the playful video shot in the background of the statue.

… The reason was the story on Agafonova’s Instagram page, during the filming of the monument, with the figure of a woman holding a sword, which represents “Motherland is calling!”, as if touching her chest. The prosecutor’s office of the Volgograd region considered that the 23-year-old woman from Samara thus committed “grudging acts that disregarded moral and ethical standards.”
Agafonova herself has already declared that she does not want to “abuse” the monument or “laugh at the history of the country” and express her attitude to the war victims.
It should be noted that although the blogger publicly apologized, the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia for Volgograd emphasized that they do not intend to stop this work.
Currently, the investigation process is ongoing.
