a crime scene simulation room inaugurated in Owendo –

The Gabonese police now have a crime scene room, which was inaugurated on December 11 in the town of Owendo, and financed by the Expertise and capacity building fund (FERC) from the French Development Agency.

Named Lieutenant-Colonel Simon Behint-De-Bebane, Gabon’s first forensics trainer, this new equipment, which was given to the technical and scientific police of Gabon, will help revitalize the functioning of the technical and scientific police department.

Indeed, the project will make it possible to train police officers in different areas of technical and scientific policing (PTS), particularly for the collection of biological traces, but also to strengthen the capacities of first responders in the context of domestic violence.

This crime room inaugurated in Gabon will demonstrate more efficiency in the search for objective evidence of guilt or innocence. Remember that twenty-three trainees were trained on reception, hearing and finding evidence from November 27 to 29.
