A federal court of appeals in the United States has issued an order that temporarily suspends rules issued by President Joe Biden’s administration, requiring employees of companies with more than 100 employees to be vaccinated or tested every week. This was reported by Reuters, quoted by BTA.

The U.S. Court of Appeals of the Fifth Judicial District cited “severe legal and constitutional” issues related to the decision.

Many states run by Republican politicians have filed lawsuits against the new rules issued two days ago. They were expected to take effect on January 4, affecting 84.2 million employees, Reuters recalls.

There is no comment from the Biden administration yet.
