A councilor donated a monument

(Eduardo Castex) – On the property where the Health Track is located in the town of Eduardo Castex, the monument «Place of Memory» was inaugurated, which was built with the donation of the diet of councilor Oscar Pinto (Frejupa).
The official act of the Day of Remembrance, for Truth and Justice was attended by municipal authorities and relatives of Sergio García, the young man from Caste kidnapped -in January 1976- by Triple A in the Buenos Aires city of La Plata and that appeared riddled in a field in Berisso (Buenos Aires).
The monument “Place of Memory” is located on the Pista de la Salud, in the passage located at the intersection of Estrada and Rivadavia streets in the town. The initiative was approved by the local Deliberative Council, and councilor Oscar Pinto decided to donate his allowance to complete the construction, while the municipality contributed the design work of a community official and the labor of the masons.
“Today we repeat Never Again because memory allows us to remember historical events,” said Mayor María Emilia Romero (from the Cambiemos front), who delivered the official speech at the event held in this town.
In addition, the councilor for the local ruling party questioned the “impunity of repressors and genocides” and stressed that Argentina “is an international benchmark on human rights.”
