The possible creation of Metropolitan Transport Consortium will be one of the central issues that the City Council of A Coruña will address in a meeting with the mayors of the area which will take place after the summer.
Mobility is one of the main issues for local government. The mayor, Inés Rey, has announced that she will present allegations to the proposal to expand the bus lines of the Xunta de Galicia. The Council considers that it may affect traffic in the city.
The Coruña City Council is also studying expanding international destinations at Alvedro airport. Starting in September, the council will discuss the future of the aerodrome with AENA and the Ministry of Public Works.
Inés Rey today made an institutional visit to the Chief General of the Operational Logistics Force, Francisco Javier Sánchez, at the Captaincy Palace.
