A Coruña: The last plenary session of the mandate approves new items for the budget | Radio Coruña

He municipality of A Coruña has approved this afternoon, definitively and in the last ordinary plenary session of the mandate, the credit amendment to the Municipal Budgets extended from 2018. It has done so with the votes in favor of Marea Atlántica and the PSOE and the abstention of the Popular Party and the BNG. The amendment will allow both the grants to entities, such as the payment of three million euros in compensation for the building Count of Fenosa.

The plenary session approves a motion to withdraw the title of Adoptive Child of A Coruña from Manuel Fraga Iribarne

The municipal plenary session this afternoon approved a motion by the BNG in which it requested the withdrawal of the title of adoptive son of A Coruña from Manuel Fraga Iribarne for being an accomplice, they say, of the crimes committed during the dictatorship. They also ask for the withdrawal of the badge for Laureano López Rodó, Minister of Foreign Affairs during the Franco regime.

The motion has been approved with the votes in favor of the Atlantic Tide, PSOE and BNG and the vote against the PP.

This motion has arisen from an initiative of the Collective of Political Prisoners and Prisoners of the Franco dictatorship.

The latter has been recalled by the Councilor for Finance, Eugenia Vieito, addressing the Socialist spokeswoman, Yoya Neira, as the Conde de Fenosa building was built during the government of Paco Vázquez.

The Coruña Popular Party has criticized the delay with which the Marea has fully approved the credit amendment.

The socialist Yoya Neira recalled that her party votes in favor of the amendment out of responsibility and for the good of the city’s entities.

The BNG spokeswoman, Avia Veira, demands that the council show the liquidation of the 2018 budgets, since, she assures, they have not yet seen the figure on paper.

The modifier, that amounts to 14 million euros, incorporates an amendment of the Socialists by which items will be subsidized to entities such as Padre Rubinos or the Association for the Fight Against Drugs.
