A Coruña: The City Council aspires to make Alvedro the reference airport in Galicia Radio Coruña

The City Council has set itself the objective of making Alvedro the reference airport in Galicia. This was pointed out this morning by the Councilor for Tourism, Diana Cabanas. For this, it plans to strengthen the international offer.

Connections with Madrid will also be expanded. Iberia will grow 18.3 percent at Alvedro airport this coming winter season, to offer more than 210,000 places. In a statement, it explains that from November it will increase its offer between A Coruña and Madrid by programming additional frequencies and, on flights with higher demand, larger aircraft, specifically the Airbus A321 model, with capacity for 200 passengers.

The Council is pending a meeting on the Master Plan for the expansion of the Coruña airport.

Iberia also indicates that it has scheduled up to 6 daily flights in each direction and up to 32 flights a week, “which cover all time slots,” he explains.
