It is the image of the last hours: a man who walked on Friday afternoon mounted on horseback through Alfonso Molina avenue, in the middle of leaving the city of A Coruña, which caused a significant traffic problem, due to weekend trips.
The man on a white horse dressed in a voluminous and visible red cape hiding his face under a helmet that prevented him from being identified, circulated at a brisk pace along a section of Alfonso Molina avenue, according to witnesses.
The rider rode for several minutes through the central lane of the aforementioned avenue, as can be seen in several videos, which have spread like wildfire on social networks throughout the weekend.
Finally, the Civil Guard stopped him when he was already in the municipality of Oleiros. The Armed Institute has confirmed to Efe that the rider who appears in those images was identified and escorted in order to prevent him from causing an accident.
However, he was not penalized because in an interurban area riding a horse is possible and there is no reason to fine him, although there is a reason for violating traffic regulations.
The Civil Guard explains that, except for a highway, dual carriageway or within the urban area, where it is not possible to ride a horse, it is possible to do it on interurban roads, although on the lane closest to the right and towards your destination.
Sources consulted by Radio Coruña Cadena SER have indicated that it is not the first time that they have detected this man riding a horse through streets or highways. He has already been denounced on several occasions without being dissuaded so far.
