The City Council of A Coruña activates on Monday, the 10th, the “incentives” plan for commerce, hospitality and culture with bonuses worth 105 euros to each citizen to consume in this type of establishment. The total investment will reach 1.6 million euros and the campaign will be extended until next November 31.
Appeal to companies and citizens
The mayor, Inés Rey, has appealed to all companies to join the campaign, through the Internet, and to citizens to download the vouchers that will allow them to have discounts of up to 40% on their drinks and purchases . “The corporation was unanimously in agreement,” recalled the councilor at the presentation of the campaign.
All through an app
Through an application, citizens can receive a 10 euro discount on purchases of 30 euros or more in local shops; five euros in hospitality or hotel purchases of 20 euros or more and a 40% discount on cultural vouchers for purchases of more than 10 euros. Each neighbor over 14 years of age may use up to three bonds in each sector.
As for the self-employed or cultural companies, the amount is higher, explained the councilor of Facenda, José Manuel Lage Tuñas, because “there are fewer consumers in culture compared to commerce and hospitality and it is a sector that is very punished, so it was necessary to make a much greater effort. “
Functioning
“When a consumer wants to apply a voucher, the merchant enters the amount of the purchase in the app and the discount appears,” Lage Tuñas told the media and also explained that establishments and freelancers who want to join the campaign they must do so through the Presco plan website.
According to the head of the Treasury, the process will be “agile” and both management and traceability will be facilitated to, he said, “avoid any fraud.” The Unión de Comercios Coruñeses Federation (FUCC) and the Provincial Association of Hospitality Entrepreneurs of A Coruña will be in charge of managing the invoices issued by the entrepreneurs.
The Council of A Coruña has already received more than 2000 applications
The City Council of A Coruña has already received some 2,025 requests for aid from self-employed workers and small companies in the city, within the Economic and Social Reactivation Plan, the so-called Presco, linked to the coronavirus crisis. Of the applications, 72% correspond to freelancers.
All the information about the Presco It can be consulted through a website that the City Council launched this week: www.presco.gal
The activation of the Presco also led to the hiring of 25 people to work in different services and a part of them carry out their work in the municipal office of Papagaio, in which the activity around the plan is centralized.
