The confederal group of Podemos will present an initiative in the Senate to ask the State Government for regulations that oblige people who run over domestic animals or find them injured on public roads to offer them health care and the possibility of identification. It is a proposal of the animalista association Libera.
Rubén Pérez, spokesman, points out that today many owners of dogs or cats that are lost and end up dead do not have the possibility of knowing it or the assurance that they were given help.
The animal association Libera considers that this measure would also benefit road safety.
