A Coruña: Detained a married couple who ran a brothel and six others for drug trafficking | Radio Coruña

The National Police have arrested a married couple who ran a brothel and six other people over for an alleged crime of drug trafficking. The arrests took place in A Coruña and its metropolitan area.

According to the agents, the man sold cocaine in the neighborhood of the Conchiñas during the day. At night, it was his wife who traded with the drug in the brothel both regentaban. In addition to the marriage, among those arrested in the operation figure of the man who provided the cocaine, and several of their assistants, in addition to another individual who was selling drugs in the neighborhood of the Sagrada Familia. During the investigation, the Police seized more than a kilo and a half of cocaine, six kilos of hashish, three firearms and more than two hundred thousand euros.

The investigation began several months ago when the agents belonging to the Group of Narcotic drugs of the Provincial Squad of the Judicial Police of A Coruña focused their investigations in a marriage that she owned a brothel.

In the course of the investigation, police found that the man was preparing the cocaine for sale with two different qualities that offered to their buyers, a larger percentage of wealth, and the other with a lower percentage, varying the price.

Also in the course of the investigation agents identified the person who supplied the cocaine to the owners of the brothel, which she was getting regularly large amounts of this drug. The supplier’s service were two men that carried out duties of custody, transport and preparation of the drug for later sale.

Three phases

The operation was conducted in three phases. In particular, on the 11th of November led to the arrest of four people. The arrests took place when the supplier of the owners of the brothel, and one of his assistants were carrying out the purchase of a significant amount of cocaine to two other male residents in the town of Coirós.

In the operating to carry out these arrests was the Special Operations Group of Security (GOES) of the Headquarters Superior of Police of Galicia, “given the dangerous nature of the subject”.

The past 14th of November, there were three other arrests: owners of the brothel, and another man, more, related to the previous, and who was selling MDMA, cocaine, and viagras in the neighborhood of the Sagrada Familia. The latest arrest occurred Thursday, November 15, and was the second assistant of the supplier of the owners of the brothel.

This man was cutting off the drug in the interior of a caravan that had hidden in a barn of a farm family. In it, he also intervened a gun, which he possessed illegally. For this reason, it is attributed also a criminal offence of illicit possession of weapons.

Drug seized

In the course of the investigation, have been made five house searches and another in the brothel. The agents have seized 1,6 kg of cocaine, 6 kilograms of hashish, a pistol of calibre of 9 millimetres, a gun detonadora, an air rifle and more than 200,000 euros.

Of the 1,600 grams of cocaine seized, 600 grams were already bagged in papelinas of a gram is prepared for your sale. Approximately 300 grams were of higher quality than the rest, papelinas that were diferenciabas by colors.

The result of the operation, the National Police have dismantled points of sale of drugs in the neighborhood As Conchiñas and in the neighborhood of the Sagrada Familia, as well as in the towns of the province, as Alvedro, Betanzos, Oleiros and Coirós.

In total it has been detained eight people, seven men and one woman, as alleged perpetrators of a drug trafficking crime. Of these, seven lacked criminal records.

After the end of the proceedings, seven of those arrested were brought to justice, who decreed the income in pre-trial detention of all of them. The research has been supervised by the Court of Instruction number seven of A Coruña.
