The General Directorate of Mobility has everything ready to begin the second phase of entry of buses from the area to the center of A Coruña, after the start of the expansion of the lines from Oleiros, Sada, Cambre and Culleredo. In an approximate period of one month, the buses from Arteixo, Laracha and Carballo can begin to enter, always in coordination with the City Council, they insist from the Xunta. The government of the Atlantic Tide ensures for its part that it also has everything ready and is waiting for the call for a meeting with the Xunta to close a date.
Data from the Department indicate that there has been only a slight increase in passengers on the new lines that began to enter in November, although there have been variations on the use of the bus station. 40 percent of users get off at Entrejardines, Plaza de Ourense and Costa da Palloza.
The number of weekly travelers on these lines on weekdays is around 54,000. If we include the airport line, which was already entering the urban center, there are about 60,000. As for the stops chosen to go up to the encore, 25 percent have changed their point of ascent and especially use Entrejardines. In the Plaza de Ourense it is possible to get off the interurban bus but not get on. The General Director of Mobilidade, Ignacio Maestro, points out that the increase in travelers will need a little more time.
The Marea government insists that the solution to transport is to create a single coordination command with a metropolitan perspective so that buses from A Coruña reach the closest councils in the area.
