A Coruña: A Coruña bus users can use all seats | Radio Coruña

Users of public transport, urban and metropolitan, can use all the seats and not just half, as originally ordered by the Xunta de Galicia following the approval of the latest restrictions on A Coruña, Arteixo, Oleiros, Cambre and Culleredo to stop the advance of the coronavirus. Travelers who are standing should try to keep the maximum possible distance from each other.

The CEO of the A Coruña Tram Company, Ignacio Fraga, considers that this pandemic has shown that collective transport is safe. “With the obligation to use a mask, added to the fact that people hardly speak, there is a low level of contagion volume; therefore it is not a place where measures have to be implemented beyond those that already exist”, said the head of the urban bus concessionaire.

The regulation of the Xunta establishes as a maximum occupancy limit one sixth of the standing places. These measures also apply to intercity buses and boats.

In addition, the Xunta has increased to 50% the capacity of the places of worship in the 60 municipalities in which more restrictive measures are in force. In an order published on November 4, the Autonomous Administration established the maximum limit at 25 people. Update these measures considering that no outbreak was detected that could be identified as origin in a place of worship, the permanence in them is of a limited time and always with a mask.
