The developers of the online shooter Call of Duty have finally heard the player community. After a month of active complaints and negative comments, the controversial Gaia skin will be removed from all key games, including Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 and Call of Duty: Warzone. The authors of the shooter said that they would still fix it.
The player community has been actively complaining about the Gaia skin almost since the start of the sixth season, during which it was added to the game, including Spawn. The appearance caused strong dissatisfaction due to poor visibility. The skin in the form of a Gaia tree was difficult to notice in all current games in the series, but the scale of the problem was realized only after the release of Modern Warfare 3.
The shooter developers announced that they are temporarily removing the problematic skin. The skin will not be selectable until it undergoes a necessary redesign to improve its overall visibility on large maps and in dimly lit environments. After the fixes, they promise to return the skin, but only in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2.
The controversial Gaia skin will never appear again in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3. It will also not be selectable in the Warzone battle royale, which will soon receive an update to the mechanics and visual style of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3.
