The Sudanese authorities have confiscated a consignment of Russian weapons that had arrived from Ethiopia at the international airport of the country’s capital, Khartoum. At the same time, part of the cargo managed to “seep” to an unknown destination.

It is noted that a batch of 72 boxes with machine guns arrived in Sudan on the evening of September 4 from the Ethiopian capital of Addis Ababa. At the same time, a law enforcement official noted that some of the weapons “managed to leak from the airport to an unknown destination.”
According to him, the information about the cargo indicates that the shipment of weapons was delivered from Russia. The assault rifles were delivered to Ethiopia in May 2019 during a so-called sit-in in front of the General Command of the Sudanese Army.
