“This assistance … demonstrates the strong commitment of the United States to Ukraine’s sovereign right to self-defense,” the embassy added.
The U.S. has provided more than $650 million worth of security to Ukraine last year, including this aid package, and more than $2.7 billion in security overall since 2014.
The United States intends to continue to provide such assistance to the Ukrainian Armed Forces, supporting them in defending the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine from Russian aggression.
