Six of the eight councils that make up the Consorcio das Mariñas voted yesterday in favor of suspending the processing of the commonwealth, among them the council of Carral. A striking vote, since Alternativa dos Veciños governs in Carral, a party chaired by the mayor of Oleiros and who yesterday voted against this suspension. Carral’s vote, different from Oleiros’s, was due “to an error”.
The mayor of Carral, from Alternativa dos Veciños, did not break the position of his party yesterday, but rather voted bad product of “the confusion generated during the voting”, which has been produced electronically. This has been confirmed by the mayor of Oleiros, Angel García Seoane, to Radio Coruña. Confusion for which Seoane holds the president of the Consortium, José Antonio Santiso, responsible.
Along with Oleiros, the mayor of Sada, Benito Portela, who holds the mayoralty of a government of which Alternativa dos Veciños is part, also voted.
