A concert of the National Armed Forces Headquarters Orchestra will take place online

On Wednesday, November 18, in honor of the 102nd anniversary of the proclamation of the Republic of Latvia, a concert of the National Armed Forces Headquarters Orchestra will be shown online – a birthday present with Latvian academic and popular music, the Military Public Relations Department of the Ministry of Defense informed.

“An independent state is inconceivable without its own army, while the Latvian army is inconceivable without the National Orchestra Headquarters Orchestra. At a time when due to epidemiological conditions we cannot gather on the embankment on November 11 and at the Freedom Monument, the Staff Orchestra remains faithful to its listeners, ”emphasizes the Staff Orchestra of the National Armed Forces.

The concert program will include works by young and Latvian-recognized composers, including the Karl Roerich Symphony for Wind Orchestra on the River of Change, the Heart of Latgale by Sergei Austra Universe, and Alvils Altmanis’ Tango Horn with Orchestra.

All of the above compositions will be premieres. At the end of the concert there will be songs by Gunārs Rozenbergs, Raimonds Pauls and other authors.

The concert will be attended by the NAF Headquarters Orchestra, soloists – Corporal Gatis Supe, Corporal Artūrs Krūmiņš and Luīze Krasta, conductor Lieutenant Captain Guntis Kumačevs.

The concert will be conducted by Captain Aleksandrs Kreišmanis.

The concert will be shown on November 18, at 8 pm, “LMT Straume” – http://straume.lmt.lv/staba-orkestra-svetku-koncerts.
