A concert of Latvian and French chamber music will be held in Liepāja in April

Pianist Agnese Egliņa will perform at the concert with her stage partners – clarinetist Kārli Catlak and flautist Reina Lapa.

In a musically diverse concert program, compositions of various moods will be heard. There will be Juris Karlsons, Aleksandra Rosenblats, Lucija Garūtas, Henri Dithier and Claude Debussy, as well as André Messaje and Kamil Sensāns.

Egliņa, introducing the chosen program, reveals that the musicians have chosen melodic, vividly imaginative pieces by French composers of the 20th century.

Egliņa, from Liepaja, won the Latvian Grand Music Prize twice – in 2010 for her work in an ensemble and in 2021 for her year-long performance.

Catlaks is the concertmaster of the clarinet group of the Liepāja Symphony Orchestra, and Lapa is the concertmaster of the flute group.
