Sunday afternoon, in the Saint-Jean-Baptiste church, a large audience responded to the invitation of the Friends of the Organs who organized, with the Choir of Lions des Tourelles choir, a charity concert in favor of Ludivine, a young Orleanian with multiple disabilities.
The ensemble encouraged the spectators to accompany them by humming with them, well-known French and English song tunes. This choir is under the direction of the choir director, Guylène Charmetant, Pascal Couture on guitar and Nathalie Skopek Joda on organ and piano.
The warm atmosphere continued in the second part of the program, with a concert by Nathalie Skopek Joda, who performed on the organ two of her compositions entitled Princess Ludivine and followed by the famous Toccata and Fugue by J.-S. Bach.
The funds raised during this concert were donated to Ludivine, daughter of Nathalie Skopek Joda, who did not fail to warmly thank the public, as well as the association Les Amis des orgues, which is keen to support this Mom.
Next concert on December 8
The next Christmas concert of the Friends of the Organs will take place on Sunday December 8, at 4 p.m., in the Bourg church, with pieces for organ, harpsichord and baroque transverse flute, known as German flute or traverso.
How did the Choir of Lions des Tourelles and Les Amis des orgues collaborate to organize this unique charity concert, and what were the key factors in ensuring its success?
