a company distributes false PV in Paris!

Cityscoot is taking advantage of the upcoming introduction of paid parking for PTWs in Paris to organize an operation to distribute fake tickets.

Some Parisian owners of motorized two-wheelers must not have understood much when they found their vehicle after leaving it in the street. While the parking of these machines will become chargeable next September, some have already found a report for unpaid parking… or almost!

Indeed, this paper taking the form of a PV was not… that an information notice, produced and registered by Cityscoot, a self-service electric scooter rental company. Its purpose was to remind that from next September 1, this fine would be very real in the event of non-payment.

The opportunity for Cityscoot to get some publicity. The company only offers electric scooters, which will not be charged for parking. For this purpose, the information notice distributed contained a code. This last offer 35 euros, i.e. 90 free minutes of use to drive and park freely.

Paid thermal two-wheeler parking in Paris in September

From September 1, parking for thermal two-wheelers will become chargeable in Paris. The prices will go two to three euros per hour, depending on whether you park in the center of Paris or in the outer districts. Which is about 50% cheaper than cars.

For residents and within the limit of one vehicle per person, this rate will be fixed at 0.75 euro per day. A “2WD Pass” will also be in place, in order to park in the underground car park of your choice. Its price will be fixed between 70 and 90 euros, depending on location. Added to this is a contribution of 20 to 30 centimes per quarter of an hour of parking.

A news largely unwelcome by users, of course. Especially since residential parking prices could increase, in order to favor underground car parks and bring new recipes to the city of Paris.
