The Advisory Commission on Immunization Practices of Ecuador (HEADS) will meet in Quito next week in order to define what will be the vaccination schedule for children between 5 and 11 years old, in Ecuador.
Only then will it be known what the scientific evidence which will support immunization in this age range, the guidelines to be followed by parents or guardians, the doses that will be applied and what type of vaccine will be applied.
This commission is made up of 16 members, among which are specialized doctors in pulmonology, microbiology, infectology, pediatrics of the Ecuadorian societies of these specialties.
For now, only the three logistics options that will be had to comply with this are known immunization, since mid-October. The Minister of Health, Ximena Garzon, explained that they will be able to go to health centers or reference vaccination points.

On the other hand, the two Chinese vaccines, Sinovac and Sinopharm, were approved for those over three years of age. China even began inoculation last June, due to the outbreaks of the Delta variant. After the Chinese, there is the United Arab Emirates.
In Latin America, the one that takes the step forward is Chile. On September 13, the country was the first to start the inoculation of the smallest, with the Chinese Sinovac vaccine.
The first to be vaccinated are those who have comorbilidades, but as of September 26, 2021, all minors of that age will be vaccinated.
