He hasn’t missed a single minute in the green and white line-up in the current season and is already looking forward to the second match against “S” Prague. The latter two weeks ago ended in a disaster with Sparta (1:5), now on Sunday they will welcome the league leader Slavia. When you mention the name of the stitched club in front of him, he starts to laugh heartily. He always dreamed of one day playing against such clubs and now he is fulfilling his wish.
“To play against the two best clubs in the country at the very beginning? Beautiful, but it will be difficult. However, we have nothing to fear. God willing, we will win,” believes Hurtado. He mentions the name of the Lord very often as a believer. In life, he often clung to him. Who is Hurtado, only the fourth Colombian in the history of the independent Czech league?
“The Czech League is a better competition and I’m happy to be here. Jablonec has a good team,” says Haiderson Hurtado, who also spent several seasons in Brazilian competitions, after the signing.https://t.co/HrCCexgTSW

He was born in the country’s third largest city, Santiago de Cali, which is notorious for its drug cartels. Due to the high crime rate, it is one of the most dangerous places on earth. “You must not perceive the difficulties of the people around you, because this brings you down. You have to focus on yourself and your work to get out of there,” Hurtado admits frankly.
Ten years ago, as a seventeen-year-old, he went to Brazil to pursue football. “The difference between Brazil and Colombia is big, not only in football, but in everything. People often ask me why I don’t play football at home where I can stay with my family, but it’s not that easy. Any player from Colombia will prefer to play abroad and help his family financially,” he explains.
In the country of samba, he got a chance, among other things, at a club owned by former Real Madrid star Marcelo Vieira. “The beginnings in Brazil were difficult. They kept telling me I was too big and strong. At first they tried me as a striker, but it wasn’t that. Until they put me in the middle of the defense, where according to the coach I had potential. But some still didn’t believe me,” he recalls. It was then that he heard that he should leave football. But in the end he got through the Slovak clubs Skalice and Sereď to Jablonec.
“We took him and Tekijaški as a replacement for the two stoppers who left. I had known Hurty before and knew of his qualities. The advantage is that he is left-footed. He is strong in tackles and plays well with his head. In addition, he is relaxed and tries to fulfill what we want from him. It’s just a bit more difficult to communicate with him, but he’s learning,” Jablonec coach Radoslav Látal praises the South American, who speaks Spanish, Portuguese and now speaks fluent English. “But he already knows basic football words in Czech, such as back, self, left, right and the like,” explains his defensive teammate Nemanja Tekijaški.
“I overcame everything and am playing in Europe, although I never thought I would get to this level. I feel happy. My wife also helps me a lot, which is the most important person that God has sent into my life. We also struggled with big obstacles in life,” indicating that he also had to deal with one of the biggest tragedies that can befall parents. “I like to talk about the good things, not the bad. We should live in the present,” he says. That will be Slavia on Sunday.
