New York Rangers general manager Chris Drury wasn’t happy with forward Artemi Panarin’s playoff performance and reportedly let him know.
The 30-year-old Russian could even ask for a transaction according to The Athletic, but his big contract would obviously be very difficult to trade. Panarin will receive $11.6 million for the next four campaigns.
In 20 recent playoff games, the talented forward has amassed 16 points, including six goals. Beyond the points, Drury would not have liked the consistency displayed by Panarin, who was not dominant enough for his taste.
Even if he collected 569 points, including 187 goals, in 508 games in the National League, Panarin is already on his third training, he who also played for the Chicago Blackhawks and the Columbus Blue Jackets.
