A cluster of innovative companies at the Mellinet barracks!

Located in the heart of the Nantes conurbation, the urban project of the Mellinet barracks offers a range of housing, but also activity spaces and new facilities in an attractive living environment, a stone’s throw from Nantes train station and the Garden of plants. The Mellinet barracks began to come to life in 2019 with the opening of the with the Belle de Jour cultural restaurant, the collaborative factory Ici Nantes and the arrival of the first inhabitants.-

As part of the urban project, several military heritage buildings have been preserved for conversion. Nantes Métropole and Nantes Métropole Aménagement wish to develop an innovation and Social and Solidarity Economy (ESS) pole. A study carried out by the ETIC firm is currently underway to identify the players in the territory who could potentially set up on the site.

Buildings B20, B60 and the old infirmary are favored for this location. Future spaces and services will be designed in the image of the professionals who will occupy the premises.
