A climber found fallen dead after uploading a photo on a cliff

ARIZONA, KOMPAS.com – A climber a barefoot found dead in a canyon near Sedona, Arizona, one day after uploading a photo from the edge cliffs in the region.

Launch People, The man was identified as Jordan Brashears, 29, who was hiking with two of his new acquaintances, according to the Yavapai County Sheriff’s office.

They took a hike last October 9 on the Boynton Canyon Trail to visit some ancient ruins. The Brashears took another path from their friends and disappeared.

The two friends had been trying to find Jordan for about an hour before finally contacting the Sheriff’s office at around 6pm.

A search team was deployed to find Jordan, but he was still nowhere to be found by nightfall. The following morning, local authorities arranged for a “more extensive search,” including ground searches, drones and helicopters.

During the search, one of his friends remembered them placing his drinking pot on the eastern side of the canyon. There, the search team finds Jordan’s shoes and cellphone.

At 9 a.m., Jordan’s body was found.

According to investigators, Jordan appears to have fallen from a height of 100 feet.

“Although unable to pinpoint exactly how he got there, officers believe he climbed away from his two friends and that the corner from where he was last seen was intent on climbing a level or two higher but fell off the ledge.”

The statement also said there was no indication Jordan had any intentions or plans to kill him.

Brashears’ tragic death came after she posted a photo on her Instagram on October 8, in which she stands on the edge of a cliff in Arizona’s Cathedral Rock, a different path from the Boynton Canyon hike she took the following day.
