The Romanian Police Union “Diamantul” accuses “serious security incidents” at the Special Actions Service within the Brăila County Police Inspectorate, according to the publication debraila.ro
Several published images capture two children in the SAS headquarters, one of them being photographed while sitting next to two wooden boxes in which there were chargers for the submachine guns of the “masked” equipment.
The photos were published on the website of the Romanian Police Union “Diamantul”, along with a text that talks, among other things, about the fact that “several shenanigans are masked with the guise of illegality”.
Vitalie Josanu, the president of the “Diamantul” Union, stated for debraila.ro that the photos were taken this year and that it would be the children of the head of the Special Actions Service.
“The junior has two boxes of ammunition in front of him. We’re surprised no one asked for the rest of the photos we said we had. As a rule, they work in the style of “handkerchief on drum”, efforts are made to save the boss”said the president of the union, according to debraila.ro
At the head of the SAS, according to the IPJ Brăila website, is chief commissioner Daniel Cristian Avram.
Following the publication of the article, the County Police Inspectorate announced that it would conduct an investigation.
“Considering the aspects mentioned in the article, the leadership of the Brăila County Police Inspectorate ordered checks to be carried out, through the Internal Control Department,” the statement states.
