The victim is 12 years old
A 12-year-old boy died after an accident with a horse in the village of Lehchevo, Boychinovtsi municipality. It was dragged by the animal, the Regional Directorate of the Ministry of Interior in Montana announced.
The child saw that it was getting dark, and the neighbor’s horse was still grazing, tied to a meadow on the outskirts of the village. It decided to take him home alone. The animal was tied with a long rope and a metal wedge driven into the ground. The boy pulled out a wedge, wrapped the rope around his arm, and led the animal to the barn. Shortly afterwards, the horse got scared and ran away. However, the child could not free himself from the rope. People from the village called 112 and caught the horse, but the medics who arrived on the scene only confirmed the death of the child.
His body was sent for autopsy to a hospital in Montana.
