The SFRS received the call to Atlantijas Street today at 17.14. Ammonia leaked from the refrigeration unit. Employees of the facility have been evacuated and the need to evacuate the residents has been identified.
At least 17 fire and rescue workers were working at the scene.
At 18.41. The SFRS reported that the leak had been repaired. For additional security, residents of Vecmīlgrāvis in the vicinity of Atlantijas Street are urged not to keep their windows open and to stay outside as little as possible.
