Smoke bombs, firecrackers and chants of supporters… The atmosphere was particularly lively at the James-Delarue stadium on Saturday evening, where the Touraine leader played a very nasty trick in Chartres, beaten 2-1.
For this meeting, about thirty supporters of Tours FC had made the trip to Chartres, which was not without disturbing the start of the meeting.
From the first minutes, the Tourangeaux took the game on their own. Despite the good intentions of Tesson and Depond, the timid incursions from Chartres did not worry a well-placed leader. On an innocuous action, Maayad controlled the ball in the box and gave Divanach no chance (0-1, 17′). Left alone on the right side, Chartrain Ukaj reduced the score (1-2, 65′). The entry into play of local attackers Quievreux and Lasne brought additional speed and much more fluidity to the game. The Chartrains Jedd (68′) then Depond (69′) just missed the equalizer. The reaction of Tours FC was not long in coming but all attempts came up against an imperial Divanach. The score remained there, but the Chartrains could have regretted having let the first hour of the match pass without playing.
