The aim of the concert is to show support for Ukraine.

Musicians, artists, civic activists, opinion leaders, actors, athletes and volunteers from around the world will support Ukraine with a two-hour concert that will be broadcast on several television channels in about 20 countries in Europe and the world, as well as on various streaming platforms and social networks.

At the same time, before, during and after the broadcast, funds will be raised for the humanitarian crisis in Ukraine as a result of the Russian military invasion.

Latvia will be represented at the concert by the group “Brainstorm” and singer Katrīna Gupalo with friends. Artists such as Imagine Dragons, Nothing But Thieves, Fatboy Slim, Craig David, winners of the international Eurovision Song Contest Salvador Sobrals and Netta, as well as Ukrainian artists Dakha Brakha, Ruslan, , “Go_A”, “Monatik”, “Alyona Alyona” and others.

In response to the musician Gupalo’s call to support Ukraine, Riga residents and guests will be given a piano, which will be located in Kronvalda Park opposite the Russian Embassy for two months. Together with the students of the Latvian Academy of Arts, the piano will be painted in the colors of the Ukrainian flag on Sunday, so that in the urban environment they will serve not only as a resounding, but also as a visual confirmation of Ukraine’s support.

On Sunday, several activities are planned in the square near the Riga Congress Hall to support Ukraine.

The concert marathon “Save Ukraine – #StopWar” will also be shown on Latvian Television Channel 1 from 18.30 to 20 and from 21.05 to 21.40.
