However, the star couple made an exception for the Venice Film Festival, where the world premiere of Luca Guadagnino’s new film “Queer” will take place. Craig plays the lead role in the film. The actor used the occasion to break away from his James Bond image and present a new, surprising look.
As every year, the Venice Film Festival attracted a galaxy of stars to the Lido. Among the guests of the 81st edition of the event, Angelina Jolie, Monica Bellucci and Tim Burton shone on and off the red carpet. Daniel Craig and Rachel Weisz have just joined their ranks.

Although Rachel Weisz and Daniel Craig are rarely seen together, the star couple decided to make an exception for the Venice premiere of “Queer,” the new film from Luca Guadagnino, the director of “Call Me by Your Name,” “The Last Bone” and “Challengers.” Craig plays an American expat who falls in love with a young man in the 1940s Mexico.
The queer romance marks a new chapter in the career of Craig, who is still known to the general public as the current actor playing James Bond. It seems that the actor has decided to leave 007 behind for good, opting for a stylish makeover. At the Venice airport, the star appeared in a simple white T-shirt, jeans with rolled-up legs and, as befits a newly-minted ambassador for Loewe, shiny sneakers from the Spanish fashion house.
In the wake of the new look, the actor also changed his hairstyle. His impeccably trimmed hair was replaced by the length popularized by the Beatles in the 1960s. Craig wears it with a parting in the middle, fashionable among Zoomers.

As befits a duo of actors, the couple met on the stage of a London theater while working on a joint play “Les Grandes Horizontales” in 1994. However, for the first 15 years they remained friends. Daniel Craig and Rachel Weisz’s love blossomed only in 2010. Since then, they have remained one of the most discreet couples in Hollywood.
The star duo got married in secret from the media in 2011. When Rachel Weisz was pregnant, she only said in one interview: “It will be obvious soon anyway.” Today, they are raising three children together – Ella Craig, the actor’s daughter from his first marriage, Henry, Weisz’s son with director Darren Aronofsky, and a daughter they share, who accompanied them on their trip to Venice.
