One incident made me change my mind.
One of the most famous of the satirist Mikhail Zadornov was the phrase “Well, stupid.” Most often, the humorist used it in monologues ridiculing the inhabitants of America. But one event forced the writer to change his position.
Elena Bombina, the second wife of Mikhail Nikolaevich, wrote a book about the life of her late husband, in which she spoke about her vacation in Switzerland in 2006. Then Zadornov hit his head hard while skiing. When the satirist was taken to the hospital, he spoke in English, and in Russian he repeated only two words: “Well, stupid.” The artist did not even remember his name, but he constantly repeated his catchphrase.
At some point, the writer asked his relatives who he calls stupid. Upon learning that Mikhail Nikolayevich himself addressed these words to the Americans, the satirist was greatly surprised.
“Probably in vain I have them so! good nation” Zadornov said.
