If the measures that provide for online education are not extended on March 31, I will announce April 1 and 2 in Plovdiv to be non-school and to merge with the spring vacation of students. This was announced by the mayor Zdravko Dimitrov amid a meeting with the relevant deputy mayor Stefan Stoyanov. He reminded that by law he has the right to give up to 3 days of vacation during the school year and will take advantage of this opportunity.
“Given the overall epidemic situation, it is wiser for students to go on holiday earlier, instead of returning to classrooms for two days and risking their health and the health of their loved ones,” the mayor commented.
If the measures are not extended by order of the Minister, the municipal kindergartens will open their doors to willing parents on April 1.
We remind you that by order of the Ministry of Health from March 22 to March 31 inclusive, additional anti-epidemic measures were introduced throughout the country. During these days, student education is online and children do not attend nurseries and kindergartens. Educational and language centers also remain closed. The purpose of the additional measures is to effectively control the spread of coronavirus infection.
