In Odessa, a criminal case was opened against a man for using symbols prohibited by the laws of Ukraine, informs the press service of the city police on Sunday, May 2.

The man was stopped on Kolontaevskaya Street in clothes with the image of communist symbols.

“Now he is giving explanations about this in the police department. The information is included in the Unified Register of Pre-trial Investigations under Article 436-1 (production, distribution of communist, Nazi symbols and propaganda of communist and national socialist (Nazi) totalitarian regimes) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine”, – the message says.

Recall today victims of the May 2 tragedy are remembered in Odessa 2014, when 48 people died in a fire in the House of Trade Unions, another 250 were injured.
