The Constitutional Court opened a case to challenge the results of the elections for representatives of the people in the 51st National Assembly. Thus, there are already two cases in court for full and partial counting of the vote for the National Assembly, held on October 27.
The case was initiated at the request of 58 people’s representatives from the 50th National Assembly. Judge Sonia Yankulova is the reporter in the case. The request is for a full annulment of the election results and was brought by Velichie, who still had MPs in the 50th Parliament.
People’s representatives from PP-DB, “BSP for Bulgaria” and the independent deputies of Ahmed Dogan also signed their complaint. Thus, the formation that fell out of the new parliament with a score of 3,999 collected 58 signatures.
“The general and prevailing public opinion is that the holding of the early elections for national representatives in the XLI National Assembly were accompanied and filled with many and various violations, some of which have the character of crimes,” states the request to the Constitutional Court court, broadcasts BTA.
Manipulations with the machine vote, violations during video surveillance, replacement of the composition of the Election Commission in 412 of the sections on the election day, evidence of taking away votes from some parties and adding them to those of other parties – a total of 338 sections, are some of the materials that the initiators attach to their complaint.
This is the second case that the Constitutional Court has initiated to dispute the election result. The first became a fact last Friday and has been filed for the partial cancellation of the vote. The request to challenge the legality of the election of people’s representatives in 52 sections of the vote was initiated by “There is such a people”.
It was signed by 67 people’s representatives from the 50th National Assembly, and it was also supported by the deputies of Velichie, as well as by the people’s representatives of PP-DB, BSP and those of Dogan. Yanaki Stoilov was appointed as the rapporteur for the first case initiated by the Constitutional Court.
